Hey there! I’m Cindy, a self-taught illustrator, surface designer and lettering artist based in NYC and the face behind The Heartist Cin (pronounced ‘The Artisan’). Ever since I was a youngin’, I’ve loved making art in all forms and have always created to my heart’s desire (hence the name!). My work is mostly known for featuring soft but bright colors, clean lines, with a touch of fun and playfulness to them. I am drawn (pun intended!) to usually creating portraits, animals, florals and lettering.

When I’m not holding an (apple) pencil in my hand, my free time usually includes long walks–often with the goal of consuming copious amounts of bubble tea, binge-watching the classic sitcom, hula-hooping, and attempting to brainstorm better versions of the silly puns.
